Original Play Workshop
With Fred Donaldson
December 8-9, 2012
What enables us to innovate, problem-solve, and be happy, smart, resilient human beings?
Our ability to PLAY!
"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation." ~ Plato
Fred Donaldson is a psychologist who learned the secrets of play by studying children playing for 5 years. He then applied what he had learned to wolves, bears and wild animals. It worked! Now you can learn directly from him the non-verbal body language that deflects animosity and invites trust. It's a natural inbuilt security system! You can learn how to give off the kind of play signals that can override power struggles and transform predatory ritualistic behaviors into transcendent joyful states, helping you learn how to deal with conflict and challenges with ease and grace.
Fred teaches how to create safety with his “no fear” mindset. It is very practical. Fred can play with aggressive children without becoming an aggressor or a victim. You can learn how to use these skills even with dangerous animals like spouses and coworkers!
With Original Play you will come to know a sense of safety and trust, connection and belonging that will transform your relationships with family, friends, coworkers and all the other wild creatures in your life.
Learning to play will sustain youthfulness throughout life. Generate agility, pliability, flexibility, the ability to accept change, problem-solving ability, inventiveness and ingenuity. Think beyond contest. Develop the active habit of kindness. Increase your experience of belonging. Increase brain plasticity.
Come and explore how play can improve - and joyously change - your life!
